Some government-funded legal assistance is  available to the families of victims and to employees or contractors at the mine.  Details of the assistance for families and  for workers (employees and contractors) is listed below.

Lawyers to assist workers

There are two lawyers available to assist employees and contractors at Pike River Mine by answering  queries about the Royal Commission.   They will not be representing anyone at Commission hearings but will assist by providing information and advice to assist workers to participate in the Royal Commission if they wish to do so.  You may contact them by telephone or email.
